• Drive toward the train station Ollanta Tambo Train (train departs at 6:10 am)

• At 7:15 am Get off at the train stop Km 104 to start the hike with your professional tour guide
• 3 hours hiking up hill and along the trail explore the Inca sites Chachabamba and wiñaywayna.
• After have lunch continue 1 hour of an easy walk to enjoy the view from the Sun gate
• 40 minutes gentle downhill to get the main spot to take the popular Machu Picchu photos
• At 2:30 pm starts your tour guided of Machu Picchu
• By 5:00 pm ride the bus down to Aguas calientes town
• 5:30 p.m. have dinner or order to go and enjoy it riding the train (not included)
• At 6:00 p.m. at the train station (train leaves at 6:20 p.m.)
• At 8:00 p.m. pick up from the Ollantay Tambo station to drive back to Cusco.

CUSCO - INCA TRAIL -MACHU PICCHU

We will leave Cusco at 04:15 am to start our tour short Inca Trail 1 day. We will drive for about an hour and a half to Ollanta Tambo station to ride our Expedition train until kilometer 104 (1:15 hours) where you will start the Inca trail with your guide. 5 minutes away is the check point where we have to show the original passport and also, we can use the bathroom and have the last chance to buy extra water bottle from a local vender.

Our trek will take us along the original Inca trail and the most wonderful stretch of the Inca Trail Classic. Along the way will appreciate the variety of flora and fauna surrounded by stunning panoramic views of the Andes. The trail raises from the bottom of the sacred valley (2,170 mts./ 7,120 ft) through the narrow path of 3 hours of walk passing by the archeological sites of Chachabamba and Winaywayna (2,650 mts./8,700 ft). At Wiñaywayna campground you will enjoy the box lunch having great views.

The box lunch is given at the beginning of the trip that is carried by yourself.

Then we will continue for 1 hour hike by an easy undulate trail crossing a lush and green cloud forest that rounds Machu Picchu Mountain to reach out the Sun Gate that will impress us with the first view of Machu Picchu spread out on the mountain ridge below and the iconic Huaynapicchu Mountain. After passing through the Sun Gate, we’ll keep hiking down for 40 minutes to get Machu Picchu and get the main look out to take the classical pictures, Machu Picchure time!

You will learn the fascinating history of machu Picchu with your guide visiting the main places of the citadel, and make sure to take beautiful pictures during the tour that takes about two hours.

Then, ride the bus down to Aguas Calientes Town to ride the train back to Ollanta Tambo in the evening (train leaves at 6:20 Pm). You will have time to have quick dinner (not included). After 1:45 hours train rode our private transportation will take you back to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.

The trip from Aguas calientes town to Cusco is 4 hours approximate.

MAY I CHANGE THE DEPARTURE DATE AFTER THE PERMITS HAVE BEEN BOUGHT?

 It’s a shame to tell that is not possible. Once is made the confirmation; the Inca trail 1 day hike permits have been bough. Peruvian government is strict in the limitation of ticket permits and regulations, where does not allow any changes. So that, permits are not transferable or refundable. Therefore, if you cancel your Inca Trail 1 day tour, the deposit done is not refundable at all!

DO I NEED TO BRING MY PASSPORT?

Yes! Its mandatory to have the original passport to be checked at the Inca trail and Machu Picchu and is very important that it has to be the same passport you sent us to book your Inca Trail and Machu Picchu permit. In case, you are renewing your passport, please send us ASAP the copy of your old passport and bring both of them with you to secure your permit to do Inca trail 1 day tour. 

CAN I STORE MY LUGGAGE AT YOUR OFFICE?

Of course, will be a pleasure to put away your luggage at our company storage or at your hotel that is free for customers, whichever is more convenient for you. After your return of your tour of Inca trail, we give you back.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE OF MY TRAIN TICKET?

We book the first train in order to have enough time during the hike and visit Machu Picchu. The train departs from Ollantay Tambo station at 6:10 am and the train return at 6:20 pm. Nevertheless, the train schedule will depend on the train availability. Therefore, very recommended to book in advance.
